Eager Beaver Tutee is Ferocious About Learning amazon addict This is for my ESL tutee who will be entering second grade. His first grade teacher told his mother that my tutee reads at the third grade level because he just loves to read. He is an eager student and is well-motivated. It has six units:Sentence about a PicturePersonal StoryFriendly LetterParagraph that DescribesStoryHow-to ParagraphI checked the state standards and this book covers at least everything for grade 2. My son has completed 2 units and his writing has improved noticeably. He enjoys doing the work in this book. It has colorful pictures and fun writing prompts. It also has a "report card" at the end of the last five units which he fills out himself. In addition to writing prompts, t. "Love this series!" according to ABC MOM. My son has a mild language disorder and needs a very structured approach to stretching and exercising his receptive and expressive language. The public school does not provide enough structure or appropriate ways to practice. Homework is all over the place and the writing instruction weak. So we've purchased several of the books from the series, Writing Skills, Reading Comprehension,and Problem Solving.The books are structured, interesting and attractively illustrated. My son enjoys the stories, the lessons are clear and easy to understan
