But when the evil Mayor of Manchester (formerly Bludchester) redoubles his efforts to rid Sang of the Bludmen once and for all, stealing Tish’s locket in hopes of traveling back to her world himself for reinforcements, Criminy and Tish must battle ghosts, sea monsters, wayward submarines, a secret cabal, and thundering Bludmares to get the locket back and allow Tish to return home…but has she found love with Criminy? Could she stay in Sang forever?. But they don’t mess with any of the bat/coffin/no sunlight nonsense
fun and weird JenMo Wicked as They Come is a fun weird book, that pulls off something as wild as vampire bunnies.The reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5 was the characters never really resonated with me. Letitia, our female lead, shoves thoughts about her ex at us at random and annoying times. And the way she flits from once stance to the next I did some eye rolling. Criminy, our hero, is interesting and dynamic, but at the same time feels like something is missing. He loves Letitia from first sight, and she even wonders why. I'm not sure the questions is ever answered well. Maybe I just wish Cri. But still a good way to spend a day Different and intriguing Need to delve more into the series to fully be a lover of the characters But still a good way to spend a day Reading. Interesting steampunk I liked it. A bit plodding but good. At times the writing was a bit difficult to understand. Overall a good read. Other books in the series await.
