Wayne Markley said American Crime as Seen by Europeans (Make for Great Reading). Trilogy USA is made up of three seprerate stories by writer Yves H and artist Hermann. All three stories are crime stories set in the USA at different times and different places but all three stories are great. It is interesting that European creators (these stories are originally published in Europe) have such a tight grasp on American crime fiction. All three stories are very different from each other yet each one holds up on its own. The story telling is crisp and sharp and once again very d. "Hermann is incomparable" according to Wessam Elmeligi. Hermann Huppen is among the best comicbook artists I have seen. His lines, characterization, and colors are expressive, engaging and insightful. His trademark blue, white and grey watercolors are unique and as haunting as the writer, Yves Huppen's, narratives. I'm so glad they're translated into English. None of the dry, emotionless computerized comicbook art so common nowadays. Each panel is a work of art in its own right. I wish all Hermann's work was translated.. "Five Stars" according to CalleF. I have to reda the first part again. It is mind twisting.Hermann is a master.
