"Exciting Adventures of Wilkie the Wonder Wolf" according to Kelly Pinella. Wilkie the wolf cub tumbles down a snowy mountainside one day when he was playing with his brother cubs. Unfortunately, it was Wilkie's oldest brother who kicked him over the ridge. Thankfully enough, Wilkie meets two nice bear friends, Fubb and Tuft, and then he is taken care of by a boy named Josh. The boy does a good job hiding his new wolf pet for as long as he can. Young Josh Bright is an interesting boy who likes to read comic books. He has a big heart to care for people and to care . Guthrie said Great for a first-time reader. NOT for any child above 6 or 7.. It's difficult for me to review a children's book, particularly one for ages 6-9. I am sure the stars would be a lot higher coming from an elementary school girl or boy. Honestly, the animals talking just blew it for me. The book needs to begin with that aspect; like a Disney movie: let the reader in on the world right away. Animals talk, and have relationships with humans, etc. I definitely get it.I gave this four stars because I can't knock it too much when putting myself in the place of
. Not long after I returned home my next-door neighbours excitedlyknocked on my door to show me their brand new teeny-tiny husky puppy. That pup grewso fast I thought they'd been feeding him jumping beans; and then into my headpopped an idea for a story.
