Good, but could be better Ted Persinger This is the only "Book of Lists" I have purchased. I was very pleased with the book as containing Vocabulary arranged in a logical and usable fashion. However, just imagine how great this book (and perhaps the others in the series) would be if it included tests that teachers could use. A simple black-line test for each section would make this the most useful book for Vocabulary ever, and the publisher probably couldn't print enough. Who is going to spend the time to write a test for each of these? I'd purchase the test c. Almagirl said A very useful resource for teachers of all levels. This book provided me with so much information, most of which I found useful in planning and teaching a vocabulary improvement class in a community college. It has material that an English or reading teacher can use in elementary, middle or high school. I especially liked the mini-dictionary of roots, prefixes and suffixes, but I found that many of the lists were very helpful.
