Very good, but I really liked this book. It's a good start for learning about drums and sound recording. However, one area in there was questioned by my drum instructor and another source. Regarding, normalization. I won't go into what that is, that's what the book is for, but I will say that those I talked to stated that normalization may not be a good thing to do because it changes . "Ok book but there are many better options" according to bobble. I got this book after reading through many other studio books. Most spoke on drums, but I wanted a good reference that really focused on drum recording. Unfortunately, having read all those other books and having spoken to many engineers throughout my learning process, I can say that this book is not one to get.It briefly mentions acoustics.
