"Classic Story retold for Young Readers - a review of "The Fox and the Grapes"" according to The Invisible Pam. This little "Read-it! Readers" book is a Yellow Level. Yellow level books are supposed to have more challenging ideas, more challenging vocabulary, and a variety of sentences. I would agree with at least two of these: I don't think there is a variety of sentences. In fact, most of them look like the following:The fox jumped highand snapped his jaws.He bit nothing but air.The fox tried again.He took a running startand leaped at the grapes.And. Amusing for young readers. Great practice! Does he succeed?This is classified as a 'Yellow Level' reader which lists:Challenges in ideas * Expanded vocabulary * Wide variety of sentencesIn my opinion it is for readers that are beyond phonics and know a good variety of words.
