Excellent way to get into the Word starting in Genesis A Customer This is a chronological compilation of the scripture with great jewels of wisdom by the editor that explain what you are about to read in the next few verses. As a Bible student for many years, this edition has captured me, even in those geneologies, because of the explanations that tell me what is about to happen or why something is important and how it fits with events in other places in scripture. I highly recommend this to anyone at any level of spiritual maturity.. Awesome way to read through the Bible in a year truthfriend7 I've read through this Bible multiple times throughout the last few years. I just ordered this one for a friend. I highly recommend it. I like how it condenses multiple accounts like the Gospels, Samuels/Kings/Chronicles, etc for easier reading (it includes all the references for each). Places the Psalms chronologically within David's life (and others will applicable). Puts the epistles in Acts where they occur. And condenses the laws down into an interesting organization. It also includes some expla. One of my favorite Bibles! We have several Bibles of various versions. However this is one of my favorites! Each chapter (or section) has a thorough introduction which is helpful-------especially for first time readers. I believe it flows just like a (regular) book. I strongly recommend this book for new Christians or someone wanting to sit down and read the entire Bible for the first time. You won't be disappointed in the way this Bible is set up and the eternal benefits are priceless!!
