"Just when you thought it was over" according to borneveryminute. Pekkala disappears for a couple of years and then we take up the story again as if nothing has happened. Primal and a little perplexing. "Disappointment in the Red Forest [edited - expand for full review]" according to Misanthrope™. I have loved this series from the beginning, and Sam Eastland (Paul Watkins) has created one of my favorite characters in Pekkala. For. of this series. For. 1slander1970 said I could not wait so I purchased it from a book seller in the UK. For those Inspector Pekkala fans out there I am sure that you understand why I could not wait to see what happened to the good Inspector in the latest installment of the series. It is hard to believe that the author is this many books into the narrative. The book itself is another page turner and I finished it in two sittings as I could not put it down. The characters are great, the twists in the tale make your jaw drop and the story stacks up to the other novels. In fact, I would put this novel as my second favorite Pekkala novel only
