Fantastic! BC1130 This trilogy is so good, I know I will re-read it several times! This last book is the definition of an epic ending. From first chapter to last, there is no slowdown in pacing. It is filled with action and suspense. The characters are compelling, fully developed and charismatic. The plot that began in the first book, holds its course and all the side plots that branched off from it come together again to a somewhat bittersweet, satisfying ending.I loved the series and this was a fantastic end to the story! I hope Brian McClellan has more to write about with some of his. "I really enjoyed this whole series" according to Critical Consumer. I really enjoyed this whole series. I don't like paying this much for books, I think they should be cheaper on my Kindle, but I shelled out the extra for these. The characters are complex and well developed and the story moves along at a good pace. The author seems to have done his research. I particularly respect the unusual magic system.. Great finish, great series. A great finish to a great series. McClellan makes a good use of gritty characters and non stop action that make this series very difficult to put down. He puts a new spin on the idea of magicians and magic with the addition of powder mages. This serves to give the battle scenes a new dimension.
