Revit MEP is easily the most complex application within the Autodesk BIM ecosystem, and understanding how it works internally and - more importantly - how it works within the context of Revit Architecture and Revit Structure is crucial for success. To date there has been a severe paucity of good materials for learning Revit MEP; Autodesk's downloadable tutorials are a good starting point, but are woefully out of date. They do not provide a holistic understanding of why you need to do X,Y, or Z. I teach the Revit platform for an Authorized Autodesk Reseller, and it's been frustrating to find good learning ma. Great Introduction to MEP, but sometimes hard to follow Apple B I'm not a stranger to the Revit programs from Autodesk. Before I decided to learn how to use Revit MEP, I was already quite experienced in Revit Architecture. So I was pleasantly surprised the U.I. on Revit MEP was nearly identical to Revit Architecture. However, if you are a first time user and not familiar with any of the Revit software from Autodesk, I suggest you find a different training book. After reading the first few chapters it seems to jump around a lot from subject to subject. There are plenty of examples and exercises in the book, but what I dislike are the way instructions are written and how . Excellent for Intermediate Level Perry I had done all available classroom and video training for Revit Arch and MEP but still had questions on how to utilize Revit MEP 2011 properly.This book answers all my questions in a complete and understandable manner. In several instances this book recommends a new approach to project setup and I like the book's approach.There are more changes in Revit 2011 (i.e. Worksharing) than other training programs emphasize. The book is thorough on the 2011 changes, to bad MEP 2012 will be here in a few months.There were a few short comings in my opinion such as the occasional directing the reader to a URL. Some of
