"Ruthie is swept downriver to be swept into a fast paced adventure" according to Carolyn M. West. I loved this book just like all of Mary's books. She has a knack of pulling you in and MAKING you finish it so quickly. I couldn't wait for the next chapter, now for the next book in the series. What is was about is Ruthie who's not been loved on a long time colliding with Luke who is on his way to take back his ranch. How things pull together is a wonderfully adventurous trip. Don't miss it. Had trouble putting this one down Mary Connealy is much-lauded for her ability to create characters that amuse and inspire (and rightly-so), but she’s also a master at suspense. In SWEPT AWAY, that suspense grabs you from the very first page, and doesn’t let go. Loved this book (had trouble putting it down) and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.. "Great book" according to amvk. A strong woman escapes a bad situation when she alone survives the wall of water which killed her husband to be and his family. She is found by a man who wants his Texas homeland back from the thief who was involved in his father's murder. Great story and written so well. What a great read!

From the Back Cover When a cowboy focused on revenge encounters a woman determined to distract him, there's going to be trouble in Texas!Swept away when her wagon train attempts a difficult river crossing, Ruthy MacNeil isn't terribly upset at being separated from the family who raised her. She lives on an eastern Nebraska ranch with her husband, Ivan, and enjoys spending time with her four grown daughters and their families. Will Ruthy convince him to give up his destructive path and be swept away by love?"This new series, TROUBLE IN TEXAS, will add to her list of successes if the first installment is any indication Connealy's style is fast-paced and spritely and sure to keep drawing fans." --Publishers Weekly"Carol Award-
