Poems here are about domestic violence, America's war on Iraq, the profiling of people of color, drowning women, dogs, cats, and word usage, but they're also about the sinister somethings that our country has done, and allowed others to do. My personal favorite is Usage and it made me cry. I'm clearly not a writer, but this book has brought emotions I thought I suppressed. It's haunting, yet beautiful; a true book of love. I recommend this for everyone!
