Please let there be a Flesh 3! loves books I didn't go in expecting to love the Flesh series. In fact, aft ear reading some of the reviews, I was more than a bit wary. BUT,Not only did I love FleshI immediately bought Skin. I liked the premise of Skin better but Flesh was actually a better read.not by much though. The book starts off w Nick bartering for Rosyln wo her consent. But since Ros and her group have really not left there bldg since the world went to hell, they have absolutely no idea what is needed to just survive. Yeah, what Nick did is deplorable.but there is no force sex, he is just lonely. And he cares for hershe lives like a princess in a safe cast. Enjoyable for the most part; picks up momentum half-way and then delivers an exciting ending I like this author's writing style, I like this zombie/post-apocalyptic world she created and I do want to read more of it, but SKIN ended up being a fair/okay kind of read for me, for the most part. Not bad, not in the least, but some things did hinder my complete enjoyment of the story:The h really got on my nerves, has a totally TSTL moment (almost quite literally), and it's not until the last part of the story that we see her emerge with the right kind of backbone. I'm all for a woman being assertive, but it needs to make sense to me and not make me roll my eyes. Personally, I'm not going to run from my one true pro. Showing a bit of Skin can be scary. Fiona I really enjoyed the first book in this series Flesh and the hot little short Room With a View so I've been hanging out for this one.I'm really a kind of Presents girl and although I bought Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, I haven't got around to reading it. I haven't even watched Dawn of the Dead though admit to watching Sean of the Dead on TV once.So now I'm into zombie romance. I am strictly a Happy Ever After reader so this series is floating my boat.Nick is one of the loser soldiers from Flesh who gets chucked out with the other two sleazy creeps but when we find him in Skin, he is all on his lonesome.
