She studied art and music at Goucher College, and has played in orchestras, chamber ensembles and string quartets over many years. Birren There is, unfortunately, not a whole lot out there as far as arrangements for viola that aren't made to be accompanied by a piano, or as an accompaniment to something else. My daughter (a 7th grader) has really been enjoying the large number of songs in this book - she even picked one as her solo piece!. Scottish Fiddling for Viola is fun! About the Author Anne Witt began playing the viola as a child, always preferring its distinctly mellow tone. She performs on the viola (the big fiddle) at local Scottish American events. . A more recent interest in Scottish fiddle music prompted her to begin arranging fiddle tunes for viola. She studied art and music at Goucher College, and has played in orchestras, chamber ensembles and string quartets over many years.
