Great children's book series. Loved the story, told in both English and Spanish. What a wonderful idea, as well as a neat ending to the story line. The illustrations are also wonderful.. "A GEM--A story book that teaches you how to teach!" according to Carmen. This story is engaging, easy to follow, and yet allows the audience plenty of room for dialogue (in fact, the dialogue between teacher/parent and student/child is the point). It allows for much personal expansion in the realm of adversity and diversity. The “bubble” thoughts guide the audience on how to teach more imaginatively--predicting the questions children would likely have. The book is bilingual--truly provides the teacher/parent with the ability to teach children in both English and Spanish--indispensable for bilingual.
