Good readbut some caveats FYI, this book is available on Kindle, even though it's not linked from here.The Chris Benoit situation really interested me, and still does, mostly because I'd never experienced the early days of Benoit. It wasn't until I saw him in wCw that I realized I had a new favorite. He was a definite throwback to the real "wrestling" days that are now long since gone. In wCw he was a pale shadow of what his true potential was. In ECW he was a lot stronger, but still overshadowed by the other daredevils on that show, and in WWF/E he was overshadowed by "The Kliq". It wasn't until the latter part o. Great Read The rise and demise of the once great Chris Benoit. An in-depth view of the seedy underbelly of professional wrestling. If you enjoy athletics, are an athlete or like documentaries then this novel is for you. I want to read it again.. "If you want to see a side of pro wrestling normally isn't presented." according to D. Gerwitz. Then by all means read this book. If you'd rather pretend that everything is good in wrestling-land then ignore it. If you notice most of the negative reviews of this book seem to come from the biggest wrestling fans. I guess it's hard to face the realities of how some of their heroes are really treated. Don't be scared off by their petty grievances with the book. I'll bet half of them haven't even read it. If you have any interest in the subject I guarantee you a good and thought-provoking read.
