Cute, interactive book for little ones! We all know by now that reading to infants or even those still in the womb is beneficial. So, I knew I would be taking care of my grandson when he was born, and I wanted some reading material for someone very small who couldn't understand a word I said. I found this book, and because the words are few and the pictures many, I thought it would be a good purchase. It certainly was. There is a door for the baby to open on each page, and it is simply playing the "peek-a-boo" game at an early level. The monkeys hands on the top of the book are magnetized so that you can show a litt. Not a Winner My 15-month-old boy loves Baby Einstein, so I'm not sure why this book hasn't held his attention. Maybe the flaps just aren't interesting enough (too similar to what's already on the outside of the flap?) Also, I find the soft toy on top (monkey head with magnetic paws that go over eyes) to be a real distraction. On it's own, it could be a cute toy, but I don't like it attached to the book. Seemed over-priced as well. Size is smaller than I expected.. My 12 month old GrandBaby Loves it She actually sits still and participates while I read this to her. Its her favorite book, we read it over and over!
