The paper is heavy and lasts a long time. It works well for both pen and pencil, and the markings won't smear if the paper is folded in your pocket. I have three of these notebooks; one in my backpack, one in the bedroom, and one for tearing out. very functional and good quality Clarel The Notenblock staff paper works very well if you are tearing out single pages to use but I don't think this would be good for use as a notebook. The paper is of good quality and the lines are very crisp; great value for the money.
