With Richard’s reluctant help, Jeff’s investigation leads him to Sumner’s belligerent family and hard-nosed business associates, none of whom want him snooping around. -- Barbara D’Amato, award-winning author of FOOLPROOF "Put yourself in Jeff Resnick's shoes: You've suffered brain damage from a vicious mu

With a paranormal twist to it that kept me hooked, I can't wait to read the next book in the series.--Cozy Mystery Book Reviews"A high-powered drama filled with interesting characters that add dimension to a tightly paced story with a good kick at the end."-- RT Book Reviews"This was a thoroughly entertaining mystery with a bit of the paranormal throughout. I highly recommended this book and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series."--BellaOnline. The author did a wonderful job of walking the two through their problems with one another. Especially when his discoveries led to unveiling secrets from Richard's past and his own traumatic childhood. Not only was the mystery interesting, but so was the developme

"An intriguing first book in this suspense series." according to Pamela Woodfield. I'm normally a cozy mystery reader but when I got the chance to review this suspense novel by a favorite author writing this series as L.L. Bartlett, I just had to give it a try. I was not disappointed.Jeff Resnick develops some physic abilities after suffering severe brain trauma in a violent mugging. For awhile he's not sure what he's seeing. Once he figures it out, he must then make his brother a believer as well to aid in investigating parts of a murder he's seen. This was a good first book i. A good story! B. Mckee I am pleased that I downloaded this book. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It was more of an investigation than a mystery, though.Following a vicious mugging in Manhattan, Jeff Resnick is left with a broken arm and a brain injury -- and some kind of psychic powers that he doesn't understand.Upon leaving the hospital, he recuperates at the home of his older half-brother in Buffalo. His visions turn out to be connected to a murder. Although Jeff discovers the identity of the killer, he knows he. "Mind numbing" according to Sandra Walker. Very much a let down. I was looking forward to reading this book because under a different pen name tthis author is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, this wasn't anywhere near the caliber of the books written under the other name. There wasn't any suspense or even feeling in this book. There wasn't any connection to the characters or plot whatsoever. This was just mind numbing.
