"Another good Chase story" according to P jolly. Love Loretta chase, this was a good story, but not her best. Had read good reviews on this series. Lord of scoundrels is my favorite so far, but will read next in this series regardless.. so so flamingopink Much too much discussion of the blasted canal! The characters were charming enough, thier quirkiness endearing, and Ms Chase is very descriptive and detailed. However the canal storyline was so over written i found myself skipping some parts to get on with the actual relationship between the hero and heroine. Definitely not as good as "Lord Scoundrel".

Beloved author Loretta Chase offers her long-awaited new novel-the tale of a bluestocking and a  reformed rake who clash over a matter of business, and soon find themselves facing an entirely different, and delicious, sort of tension.
