Although a bit outdated because of the big developments in fusion and MHD research since the 70s the book still serves as a very good introduction to MHD instabilities including physical intuition, back of the envelope calculations and good visualization of instabilities, aspects that are often given less detail in most books/articles. A good first read, for a more advanced and rigorous treatment of MHD in tokamaks and fusion see Goedbloed (,Ke. Peter Paul said Five Stars. Thanks.
