Sue said Didn't finish it. I'll bet there was an interesting story and some clever ideas somewhere in here. The author's style so wordy that I couldn't get to the good stuff. First I read it in the normal way. Then I skimmed. Then I stopped. I love romantic/suspense. But it needs to keep me involved and gripped with interest. I can believe that some might enjoy this style but for many I would recommend Joanna Bourne, Kate Ross, C S Harris, if you want page turning and well written.. Oh what a good author! Daun Jo Goodman never ceases to amaze and entertain me with her writing! North(H-Earl) has a mother who wants grandchildren, however he has no desire to marry. He attends a house party with his friends East, South and West where he meets Elizabeth(h) and falls in love with her. It takes him time to realize it and her time to fall in love. Meantime she has many personal issues to deal with that will need his help to get her extrication. He also has a job to complete. Pacing is excellent, and all the intertwining threads of lying, stealing, and duplicity add layers of trouble that need dea. REad this if you suffer from lack of sleep, it will fix it, thats how boring it is. Linda The first 5 pages were good, then I got bored really board, the endless prattle of the the characters, who were not likeable in the least after 5 pages, no real chemistry between the H/h no clue what they looked like what they thought of each other. The author was so verbose that I lost track of what the characters were saying, I tried in the end I only got about 30% read and gave up and I have asked for refund.
