A fun read for dog lovers! Have you ever wondered what ends up on the cutting room floor when watching celebrity dog trainers on the television? During her career as a professional dog trainer and canine behaviourist, Karen Davison has been battered, flattened, tied up in knots and found herself in some funny, strange and painful situations. Here she shares some of the more memorable moments of her journey, including some 'you couldn't make it up' moments!
Take a peek into the back room I'd been wanting to read this book for awhile, expecting to see the "back room" of dog training, so to speak. The parts that get left on the cutting room floor in the dog training TV shows. The stories they DON'T share in training books.I wasn't disappointed. It had me snickering in several stories, with my favorite being "Impeccably Trained Owner Awards." This was a fun read!Dog training tips are sprinkled throughout, and I especially enjoyed the photos that accompanied each chapter, and the Notes To Self that closed each chapter.— Sharon Delarose. Dogs. You have to love them I thoroughly enjoyed reading the anecdotes of the author's experience with dog training. She gives a valuable insight into a dog's behavioural problems and what is required by pet owner's to rectify them. What amazed me was that the dog owners mentioned in the book loved their pet(s), but they hadn't thought to invest quality time in training. We humans are trained--right. Pets should be too. Are you an impeccably trained owner? I highly recommend pet owners read this light-hearted and sometimes witty book.I received this book in exchange for a review. I'm glad I offered to read it.. Nice fun book with some practical advice Di Jones Really enjoyed this book of dog training incidents, especially the Great Dane one. A really good read for the price, and a reminder than us animal owners have to train our dogs!
