I've never read ant of Chuck Palahniuk's works before loved the movie Fight Clubfigured I should read some if his novels since I heard such great things. But I guess I made the mistake of reading this one first. Now I am not squeamish by any means by stories or movies that have some sick or twisted way about them. When I was done reading the this book, my only thought was that it was OK. I could not help but feel like it was a bunch of nonsense. definitely don't like feeling ripped off when I invest my time in a book. I will definitely read some of his other novels though. Ad previously stated not sure if it was the right decision to read t. Amazon Customer said Absolutely Fantastic. Haunted pulls you in and won't let go. It manages to perfectly balance a variety of powerful and inventive short stories with an overarching story of the "authors" which keeps you blasting through the pages. Haunted ponders answers to life's biggest questions while pushing the envelope in "gross-out" detailed descriptions. A book that goes 100 different directions successfully.. I have read everything he has written (with the execption of the Fugives and Refugees: A Walk in Portland, Oregon) and I have been satisfied with most. A few have been hard to start, but once I got into them, they were great. His latest work, however, is another story. After Guts, I became truly dissapointed, but continued to read for hope of another great story.
