This narrative was especially enjoyable for me to read out loud as Hannah's voice is not only highly developed in terms of character, she also uses language true to someone of that age. Almost instantly, it reminded me of one of my favourite childhood books, 'The Golden Pine Cone' by Catherine Anthony Clark.
