Well-developed characters make for interesting and emotionally deep book Happy and Proud I really liked this book, and I'm not usually interested in King Arthur-Round Table type of books. What made it different is that it's told from Guinevere's point of view and is very much about the relationships between the characters, including minor characters, and how they grow over time; yet there's also enough action so it doesn't get boring. You can really understand how Guinevere ends up loving two men at once and identify with her desire to choose her own life and loves, not just go along with what she has been co. This one piqued my interest as I love historical romances. I also thought it would be interesting to explore Camelot, Arthur and Lancelot from Guinevere's point of view, and this story did not disappoint.The book is very well done, with rich descriptions and characters I could care about. We all know the story of course, but the most surprising thing for me was the real emotion that Ms. Collins was able to elicit from me toward the en.
