DESCRIPTION:

This textbook emphasizes how the speech mechanism works rather than the anatomical detail of how it is constructed.

Well Written Book Mysti I've used this book for two Speech Pathology courses, Acoustic Phonetics and Anatomy and Physiology. My teacher literally teaches in complete order of these chapters so I found this book to be very helpful. It goes step by step and does a decent job of explaining all the things associated with the body and speech, language and hearing. There are also very good glossaries as well as practice tests for each section. They are challenging but really help you to get to know your stuff. I am definintely keeping this book for my future Speech. Callie said Good book. Book came quickly and just as described. Only wish it was actually used in class.. A GREAT Reference! I decided to keep this book after using it for an undergraduate intro. course. I'm now in graduate school and continue to refer to it for classes that I take that don't require the book.
