Ideal for people working in one subfield (e.g., polymer nanocomposites, in my case) to access the literature of another subfield (e.g., soil science, in my case). Invaluable for the new cross-fields applications, such as bioactive nanocomposites. Summarizing: an excellent update of *the* reference work in this area. Highly recommended.
New Zealand Society of Soil Science . This is an excellent book. Its objectives are well selected and clearly stated, and are largely achieved. As a bonus the quality of the literary style in which the text is written is such that the book is a pleasure to read I would be greatly surprised if even the most well-informed soil scientists did not find much of value in this book
