Portions are made ridiculously low to give the false appearance of being low carb. Anyone not knowledgeable about low carb dieting could be easily confused by this travesty of a book. Buy a Dana Carpenter low carb cook book or something written by Barry Groves or Dr. Mike & Mary Eades instead.. Deborah Kramer said Great Recipes with Common Ingredents. I like this book, recipes are simple with common ingredent you find in your home, gives you great variety I'm not sure on the title after reading the reviews if they are true lo carb, I bought it because I liked the recipes, to be honest I don't use the low fat mayo, sour cream etc whenever it calls for it, I use the real thing because the low fat stuff does have more sugar and since there no heavy gravy I'm pretty sure they are healthy.. Book has a comb binding to stay open while you're cooking. Prep and cook time, nutrition counts, and easy to read directions for each recipe. Low carb dieting can get frustrating and boring.
