She is an excellent writer. Her descriptions make it easy to put Eva Luna is the first book I've read by Isabel Allende. She is an excellent writer. Her descriptions make it easy to put oneself in the settings. I had the feeling that Eva and Rolf would end up together because their family lines were followed in the beginning of the bookbut it took a lot of situations and adventures to get them together.I was most impressed with her descriptions of living conditions of the different locations and the different people in the story. Very well written. I would recommend it for anyone who likes a good story with quality writing.. "They don't write them like this any more" according to Amazon Queen. This is one of the most unusual books I've ever read. Excellent prose. Crazy life situations for the protagonist, but she always survived by championing the circumstances handed her. The cast of characters in this novel was bizarre but in a way likeable and definitely interesting. Spellbinding story. Once you start the book, it's hard to put it down.. Brittany M. Holt said Isabel Allende is such a literary gem. Writes with. Isabel Allende is such a literary gem. Writes with a passion and honesty that isn't typical and can be jarring for an unfamiliar reader, but if you let yourself embrace the fantasy of the content and the dramatic movement of the words, you'll be swept away.
