The visit to the zoo provides lots of pictures and factoids about all kinds of animals to stimulate the imagination and hold a child's interest. Bandit Bee's eventual conclusion that he is exactly as he should be, is a gentle encouragement to accept and be the best at what one is. I could see a lot of giggles for the reader and the child.
