Very Helpful This is one of many views on how a curriculum vitae should be prepared, but it helped so that I was able to prepare one as part of several applications for college-level teaching jobs. Frankly, I think a curriculum vitae is so much hogwash that academics have created to force their elitist agenda on the "unwashed masses," but they require it, so it must be done.. "CV Handbook- fun and informative!" according to TAS. This book was such a breath of fresh air! It is a must have for anyone pursuing an advanced degree, or in need of writing an effective CV. Poignant, witty, intelligent: finally I understand how to write a CV and I got to laugh while doing it. It's great for for students across all disciplines. I was impressed by the variety of CV samples (dozens in fact). I was especially excited to learn about the ways to transform my CV to a resume, or grant getting document, which actually came in handy this summer as I pursued funding.I shared this book with other students in my program because of its special.
