When I was younger I was able to hack into the schools computers and get passed the internets banned pages, but in no way would I think i'm a hacker. My knowledge on the matter was good for those trivial things I wanted to get passed whilst in school. This book did have some areas where the pages seemed to be filled up by large fonts but the information provided was ideal.
