DESCRIPTION:
Loosen Your Watercolor Practice and Fill it With Light Vickie Henderson How to Paint Color and Light in Watercolour, by Jean Haines, is a lucious book full of the artist's vibrant paintings and her jewels of wisdom, as she shares her style and how she achieves it. And that style is unique, characterized by no pencil sketching befo. "Loose Watercolor" according to Ronald K. Ridley. Jean is a great artist, especially her Rooster paintings. The photos of her paintings are great. Written instruction could be better. Hard to follow some of the instruction. She has pictures of paintings that would have been nice to have demonstration step by . Dennis Daniels said color and light. For me,this book illustrates a very unfamiliar use of watercolor technique. I found that this method of painting is very relaxing, quick, and forces the painter into a looser style of painting. I like it.
A stunningly beautiful book that teaches you how to produce loose and expressive paintings, filled with colour and light.
"Jean Haines is a unique and imaginative artist. She has an incredible talent for creating watercolours that appear spontaneous and are flooded with light and saturated with translucent colour." —The Artist
