A Wonderful Amish Christmas Carol This Illustrated Amish Christmas Carol by Ruth Price is a unique Amish version of Dickens 'A Christmas Carol'. As with the original story it is about a man name Hezekiah Geizhals who is being literally haunted by has past life through encounters with ghosts who are four unique Second Christmas visitors. One of the visitors is a ghost named Marley like in the Dickens story. Marley is a long departed business associate who warns hi. "An Amish Christmas Carol - A Little bit of Everything!" according to Pebbles. When I saw Ruth Price had written another book, and that it was an adaptation of Dickens' A Christmas Carol, I had to get it, and I'm so glad I did! This was so well done. I give Ruth credit for managing to keep the tone and themes of the original Christmas Carol while still telling her own story. Hannah and Ezekiel were so cute, and the illustrations made it even more sweet! I think my favorite though was The Ghost of Christmas .
