Great read Terryea I loved this story, it had it all. Suspense, romance and a happy ending.. "Compelling summer read" according to Maurice. I've noticed other people talking about this book, so I decided to download it and see what all the fuss was about. It didn't take long before I got absorbed into Rosamund Snow's writing style. I found it descriptive, but not overly so, but most of all I found it engaging. It engrosses you into the story straight away and we really feel for Lara (our protagonist) as she is treated badly by her boyfriend in the UK before she leaves for her adventure.[spoilers ahead]She sets off with Lizzy her best friend, after she is convinced to accompany her on the “holiday of a l. James said A water adventure romance!. All washed upis a solid story about an underappreciated woman (Lara) who goes a lengthy vacation with a friend, only to have it turned on its head with both danger and romance. If you are a bit older and remember the 'Romancing the Stone' type movies with Michael Douglas from the eighties, it has that kind of feel to it. Lara is a strong female lead and is well written. I must admit the book formatting took a bit for me to get use too, (I thought there needed an indent or line break between paragraphs), but the story is very solid.
