"Five Stars" according to Joyce Polio. LOTS OF STUFF!!!. R. Miller said No "ideas" - and not even much narrative to go with the (pretty) pictures. This was an extremely disappointing book (and I have since returned it). Although the "blurb" claims that the book has a lot of "ideas" - it really is only a collection of photos (albeit lovely photos - but really no more lovely than those you can browse on Houzz or similar websites) and only the very most basic "narrative" - for example, in the carpeting section there is a tiny description of different "styles" of carpet (cut pile, etc.), but no discussion of different materials and their comparative advantages and drawbacks. The "bedding" section is also extremely light on cont. Very well done. reader in ca I have many decorating books, most of them I look at once or twice and put it on the bookshelf. This one is different, I keep going back and flipping through it again and again. The author does a great job with the pictures and discussion.
