S. SPEIGHT said Great book. This caught my interest very quickly and I breezed right through it! I couldn't find the second book at the bookstore so I'm waiting on bated breath for this one.It's a great read.. Mrs. Baumann said This YA series with a pseudo-Japanese fantasy theme is a winner. Plot Summary: Picking up immediately after the events in Across the Nightingale Floor, Episode 1: The Sword of the Warrior (Tales of the Otori), Takeo is honing his super-stealth skills with the goal of helping his adoptive father, Lord Otori Shigeru, assassinate his enemy, Lord Iida. Meanwhile, Shigeru has agreed to marry fifteen-year-old Lady Kaede Shirakawa in order to gain access to Lord Iida's stronghold, but he is secretly in love with Lady Maruyama. Takeo and Kaede also feel an attraction t. Excellent writing, confused sets (not by author, by seller I think) I love the writing of Lian Hearn, such gorgeous words to make me feel that I'm right there watching, smelling, hearing the words and seeing the facial expressions. The only thing, is that after reading Nightingale Floor book one, I opened the book 2, which was the exact same content. I'm contacting the seller and hoping that they'll exchange it for the right one, or I'll just continue with the next book. They are mesmerizing and it's so hard to find a good book lately.
